Privacy Policy

Account data. When you sign in with Google, Apple or email, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from the sign-in provider, plus a unique account ID.

Content you provide. Videos you upload, video links you paste (for example YouTube URLs), text prompts, brand settings, and the clips, images and posts you create.

Usage and billing data. Your credit balance, a ledger of credit spends and grants, subscription status, and purchase references. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and never touch our servers.

Device data. If you enable alerts, a push notification token for your device. Exported clips are stored locally in your browser by default and are not uploaded unless you opt in to cloud sync.

To provide the service: finding moments in your videos, generating images and video, writing captions and posts, and rendering exports.

To meter prepaid AI usage: every AI action spends credits from your balance, and we keep a ledger so you can audit it.

To process subscriptions, top-up packs and refunds through Stripe.

To send optional alerts you enable: export finished, new clips found, low credits, and scheduled posts due.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your videos to train AI models.

AI features are powered by third-party model providers (including Google Gemini) through our AI gateway. When you run an AI action, the relevant content — a video URL, selected frames, or your prompt — is sent to the model provider to produce the result. These providers process data under their own privacy terms.

Moment-finding sends the video link or a temporary signed URL to the model; we do not download or store your source video on our servers for that step. Clip rendering and export happen in your browser.

Local-first. Your clip vault, brand kit and editor drafts live in your browser's IndexedDB storage on your device. Clearing browser data deletes them.

Cloud. Account data, credit ledgers, subscriptions, channel trackers and scheduled posts are stored in our hosted database. Media you choose to sync is stored in a private storage bucket scoped to your account.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share browsing data with ad networks.

Cutroom only uses storage that is strictly necessary to run the service: your sign-in session, a small preference cookie that remembers the sidebar layout, security cookies from our hosting provider that block bots and attacks, and your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) for drafts, brand kit and exported clips. Because this storage is essential, no consent banner is required; you can clear it at any time in your browser settings, which will sign you out and remove local drafts.

We share data only with the processors needed to run Cutroom:

• Stripe — payments, subscriptions and refunds.
• Google — sign-in (OAuth) and AI models.
• Apple — sign-in (OAuth), if you use it.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications you opt into.
• Hosting and database infrastructure that serves the app.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the service and its users.

You can use Cutroom's clipper without an account; exports stay on your device.

You can turn off each alert type, or all notifications, in the app at any time.

You can opt in or out of cloud sync for your clip library.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by emailing eliburr101@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your cloud data; local browser data is removed by clearing your browser storage.

We keep account and ledger data while your account is active and as needed for tax and dispute records. We use encrypted connections and row-level access controls so users can only read their own data.

Cutroom is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
